writes

congratulates the Islamic world on the blessed month of Ramadan, and calls upon the world to welcome Ramadan with the morals, values, and teachings of the true Islam

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaibi, one of the senior custodians of the Holy Kaaba and Secretary-General of the United Nations Information Commission Office, extends his congratulations to the Islamic world on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

He also extends his sincere congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — may God protect him — and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — may God protect him — and to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to all leaders of the Islamic world.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaibi called upon the world to return to the morals and teachings of Islam, and that we fast from bad habits, fast from injustices, fast from violating the rights of others, fast from cheating and deception, fast from exploiting the weak, fast from arrogance, pride, and vanity, fast from backbiting and gossip, fast from hoarding goods and raising prices, and that our fasting should not be only from food and drink.

We fast to feel the poor person who may be forced by life circumstances to fast outside Ramadan due to inability to find food. We fast to feel the suffering of the poor, the suffering of peoples who endure poverty, need, and lack of means.

His Eminence called for making use of the blessed month of Ramadan in helping the poor and the needy, giving charity from our good wealth as much as we can, relieving the suffering of the destitute, and bringing a smile and joy to every needy home through humanitarian assistance.

These are the morals and teachings of Islam.
This is the fasting of Ramadan.

Finally…
May every year find all the peoples of the world in goodness, security, safety, and peace.
May every year find the Islamic nation and the Arab nation in goodness.
